Cat Butt Coasters
Materials:
1 ball of Peaches & Cream 100% cotton yarn (enough to make at least 4 of these coasters.)
US size G crochet hook
Small amount of pink yarn
piece of scrap yarn to use as a marker
Rnd 1: Using pink yarn and magic circle method, 5 sc in ring. Pull yarn tight and cut pink yarn and weave in ends. (5 sc)
Rnd 2: With main body color (in coaster pictured, I used a color called psychedelic), attach MC to pink center, Work 2 sc in each stitch around. Do not join (10 sc)
Rnd 3: Place scrap piece of yarn, after your last stitch to use as a markers, work 2 sc in each stitch around, Do not join. Move scrap yarn to beginning of next round. (20 sc)
Move scrap yarn to each new rnd. This helps you keep track of where each rnd starts.
Rnd 4: *1 sc in next st, 2 sc in next st *. Repeat from * to * around. (30 sc)
Rnd 5: 1 sc in each st around. (30 sc)
Rnd 7: *1 sc in first st, 2 sc in next st.* Repeat from * to * around. (45 sc)
Rnd 8: 1 sc in next st.
(Tail) Ch 8, working in the back loop(nub) on each ch st, skip 1st chain, sc in next ch, hdc in next ch st, dc in next ch st, 3 dc in next 3 back loops, I dc into side of beginning sc, dc into same st as beg. sc. Skip next 1 sc and sc into next st, to attach tail to body.
Counting joining sc for tail as one stitch, 18 sc,*Ch 4, working in back nub of chained st, skip 2 st and dc in next 2 chs, Dc into side of last sc, and 1dc into same space as starting sc. Skip one st, sc in next st.* Leg made. dc in next 3 sts. Repeat from * to * for 2nd leg.
Sc along to beginning base of tail.
